FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products has released its Office of Compliance and Enforcement (OCE) five-year report covering Oct. 1, 2013 to Dec. 31, 2018. The report, titled “Compliance and Enforcement Report - Accomplishments and Activities of FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products Office of Compliance and Enforcement,” highlights past and ongoing efforts designed to ensure regulated industry understands and complies with the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act and related regulations to protect public health. The activities summarized in the report were built on the foundation of the prior years’ achievements. These previous accomplishments are summarized in the first “Compliance and Enforcement Report.” The new report presents an overview of OCE’s last five years of compliance and enforcement activities to regulate industry and protect youth, as well as adults, from tobacco-caused disease and death.
