COLORADO - LED ST. PATRICK'S DAY ANNOUNCEMENT

LED - St. Patrick's Day Announcement

The Liquor Enforcement Division (LED) will be out on March 17, 2021, to help make St. Patrick’s Day celebrations as safe as possible. LED takes public safety concerns very seriously, and over-service violations may result in administrative action up to and including revocation of a liquor license. Last year Colorado experienced 605 traffic-related fatalities due to driving under the influence. Driving under the influence puts yourself and others at risk of serious bodily injury or death. Current trends show if you get cited for DUI, you will face up to $15,000 or more in attorney’s fees, fines, court costs, increased insurance rates and possible incineration, which ruins a St. Patrick’s Day holiday celebration for years to come. We need your help as a liquor license holder, bartender, retail clerk, or public observer to make sure Coloradans and visitors to our great state drink responsibly, and get home safe so that they can return for future celebrations.

LED will be checking on health order compliance and advises licensees to limit mixing with people you do not live with as much as possible to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. We have just started experiencing great results for future successes and recovery for all businesses and citizens of Colorado. Let’s keep up our outstanding work to protect the public from future harm.

If you need to report a complaint or ask a question, please do not hesitate to reach out to LED at dor_led@state.co.us. We thank you for your continued diligence and partnership as we all work together to keep ourselves and our neighbors safe.
