NATIONAL - EMA PAC DELEGATE REPORT/PAC CONTRIBUTOR LOG/PAC DISBURSEMENTS/MDF REPORT & CONTRIBUTOR LOG

CWPMA director Grier Bailey has contribute to both states

I would appreciate  if members did sign onto the site  and Contribute under "Colorado" or "Wyoming"  as the pass code depending on what state you are in even $50 or $25 makes a difference.

Energy Marketers of America Small Business Committee PAC

The Energy Marketers of America Small Business Committee (SBC) is a political action committee (PAC) funded by voluntary contributions from marketers across the country. The Energy Marketers of America regularly reports the activities of the PAC (as required by law) to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and information about that activity is available to the public. Your contribution to the Energy Marketers of America SBC PAC will:

  • Help elect individuals who are supportive of small business and independent energy marketers;
  • Support the Energy Marketers of America legislative and regulatory agenda;
  • Remind legislators that energy marketers are a political force;
  • Recognize the unique aspects of the jobber/distributor class of trade and of oilheat dealers;
  • Enable the Energy Marketers of America to say “yes” when supportive candidates ask for our help;
  • Assist the Energy Marketers of America to stand up to organizations that represent interests contrary to those of independent energy marketers and which are now actively building campaign war chests to defeat pro-small business candidates.

Personal contributions are limited to individuals who are members of an Energy Marketers of America Member Association. Contributions to the Energy Marketers of America SBC PAC are not tax deductible.

Because candidates for Congress cannot accept campaign donations from corporations for EMA to support candidates for Congress, all donations must be personal donations.  That is why the EMA Small Business Committee PAC can only accept personal checks or personal credit card donations.  However, the Marketer Defense Fund (MDF) does not make donations to candidates.  Therefore, corporate donations are acceptable for the MDF.   The monies raised for MDF are primarily used for activities to improve our success on Capitol Hill.

EMA SBC PAC contributions are made to Members of Congress on a non-partisan basis.  EMA supports candidates who have demonstrated significant interest in issues important to marketers. Because the committee system utilized by both the Senate and the House are so important to the legislative process, EMA places a priority on candidates who are widely respected for their work at the committee level.
