The HR Benefits Dashboard is Here!

FAMLI Division introduced the first-of-its-kind HR Benefits Dashboard in any state with a paid family leave program. Designed to simplify the management of your employees’ FAMLI benefit claims, this innovative dashboard allows employers to efficiently track start dates, claim statuses and additional claim information for enhanced visibility. The dashboard caters not only to HR benefit managers, but also supports Absence and Leave Management Companies that may be supporting employers.

Our blog posthow-to video, and My FAMLI+ Employer User Guide (Chapter 7) provide a deep dive into the features and benefits of the HR Benefits Dashboard.

How do I get access to the HR Benefits Dashboard if I already have a My FAMLI+ Employer account?

Answer: Please follow these steps to get access to the HR Benefits Dashboard:

Step 1: If you already have a My FAMLI + Employer account to submit premiums and wage reports, you need to add an HR Benefits Manager to your account. This can be yourself or someone designated for this role. Log into My FAMLI+ Employer and navigate to the right side of the main screen and select “Manage Accounts” in the “Manage My Account” box.

Step 2: Select your company name and then “Manage HR Benefits Users.”

Step 3: From here you can manage your own access or add additional HR Benefits Managers to your account.

How do I check the status of my employees’ claims in the HR Dashboard?

Answer: The HR Benefits Dashboard will show employees’ first and last names, SSN/ITIN, start date of leave, claim status, and the option to view more information. Clicking “view” will provide additional leave information such as the claim end date, reason for leave and benefit amount. Users will need to agree to the attestation that they have authority to access this employee information before the leave details appear. Please refer to My FAMLI+ Employer User Guide (Pages 45 and 46)

Important Update for Employers with Approved Private Plans

Please note, that if you are managing an account in My FAMLI+ Employer for an employer with an approved private plan, you no longer need to submit wage reports or premium payments for that employer for any wages paid to employees after the approved plan’s effective date. Continuing to do so may result in employer overpayments.

If you have any questions or if you're unsure about your reporting requirements, please contact us at 1-866-CO-FAMLI (1-866-263-2654) Monday — Friday, 7 a.m. — 6 p.m. MT.

Reporting Guidelines for Private Plan Administrators

As an approved private plan administrator, please adhere to the quarterly reporting deadlines. Submit your administration summaries by the last day of the following month each quarter. For the 1st quarter of 2024, the deadline is extended to May 31. After three years, only annual summaries are needed by January 30.

If you have been approved to use a self-insured private plan, use this .csv template from our website for submissions and email them to CDLE_FAMLI_PrivatePlans@state.co.us with the subject formatted as "YYYYQQ Private Plan Reporting." Visit our website Private Plan section for more information.

HCPF Keep Colorado Covered

Take Action Now to Help Your Employees Get Connected to Your Employer-Sponsored Health Insurance Coverage

Losing Medicaid coverage is a “qualifying event” for special enrollment periods. Some of your employees may have been recently covered by Medicaid, and now need to be enrolled in your employer-sponsored health insurance.

Below are several steps employers can take to assist employees in getting covered:

  • Remind all your employees about health coverage options that you provide as their employer, and how to apply. Losing Medicaid coverage is a qualifying event to enroll in employer-sponsored coverage outside the normal enrollment period.
  • Extend your special enrollment period (SEP) from 60 days to 1 year, per the federal government’s letter to employers, plan sponsors and issuers to give employees the time needed as they disenroll from Medicaid to enroll in your employer-sponsored health coverage.
  • If you do not offer employee benefit coverage, your employees may qualify for reduced-cost health insurance coverage through Connect for Health Colorado. Losing coverage is a “qualifying event,” which means they can apply for health insurance through Connect for Health Colorado during the extended special enrollment period.
  • Refer affected employees to colorado.gov/health to learn more about other health coverage options.

For more information, please visit KeepCOCovered.com and leverage the toolkit that includes downloadable resources. Please proactively communicate health coverage options as soon as possible to your employees so they know how to enroll in your coverage or find other options.

Thank you for doing your part to keep Coloradans — and your employees — covered.
