Recently it has come to the Division’s attention that some local licensing jurisdictions are experiencing increased volume and longer than usual processing times associated with liquor license renewal applications, which may be causing some hardship in product ordering, communication, and servicing of retail accounts. The Division is working closely in partnership with all of our local jurisdictions to ensure that difficulties associated with local renewal backlogs are minimized as much as possible.
In order to ensure timely processing of renewal applications and correctly updated license status reflection on our available licensing lists, please feel free to submit your renewal applications to the Division and pay the associated fee directly by submitting your renewal application to: dor_liqlicensing@state.co.us and paying the associated fee through our pay portal by visiting: https://secure.colorado.gov/payment/liquor.
The Division is unable to offer final approval on renewals until local jurisdiction approval has been obtained; however, submitting your materials directly to the Division will help to ensure that renewals are expedited to the greatest extent possible. In order to alleviate some of the issues associated with renewal processing backlogs, the Division will be updating the licensing lists available on our website at: https://sbg.colorado.gov/liquor-license-lists with a “pending local approval” status option in order to provide increased transparency in application status and processing.
