COLORADO - PROPOSITION 125 HANGING ON - PROPOSITION 124 FAILS AND 126 SHOWS IMPORTANT LESSONS LEARNED

All –

Wanted to send a brief update on the status of the alcohol initiatives in Colorado. Proposition 125 is ahead by about 15 thousand votes and is still pretty close… There are still many counties curing and finishing overseas ballots.   If the trends hold it look like 125 might hold on which would mean that Effective March 1st, 2023 Stores which existing FMB licenses could start to sell wine.   Below is a current county by country breakdown of voting percentages for 125.

124 – Failed…badly.  This was generally funded by the owners of Total Wine and Liquor.

126 – Was also defeated and despite being pretty neutral in that it would have allowed all classes of trade to utilize third party delivery including small liquor stores  I think that people were concerned mainly about the age verification process for third party delivery companies.
