Fuel Diversion Reporting
The State of Colorado has begun using FuelTrac to report fuel diversions into the state, leaving the state, or within the state of Colorado. To sign up or login, go to fueltrac.us.
Fuel Distributors are required to report all imports into, exports leaving, and disbursements within the state of Colorado that are not within the bulk transfer system. Loads that are diverted into or out of Colorado should be reported in FuelTrac within 24 hours. These loads must also be reported as an Imports or Exports on your Fuel Excise Tax return (DR 7050).
Common or Contract Carriers are required to report all loads transported within, imported into, or exported from Colorado. All deliveries which are diverted from the bill of lading or manifest destination must be reported through FuelTrac within 24 hours of diversion. These loads must also be reported on your Carrier return (DR 7006).
